#ThirstyThursday: Blended Scotch Whisky & Lobster Rolls in NYC
According to the top booze experts in the beverage industry, TmeOut New York suggests that lobster rolls are best paired with beer or wine; but here at YouGottaEatThis we champion any and everything out of the norm, which is why I am recommending all adventurous eaters try a glass of blended scotch whisky the next time you go out for a lobster sandwhich.
Since all whiskeys aren’t scotch, I’ve gone ahead and done all the brain work to find the perfect pairing (with a little help from some people in high places in the restaurant biz) to create an elevated noshing experience for seafood and scotch lovers abound. The result comes in the form of The Famous Grouse Blended Scotch Whisky served on the rocks. While the scotch isn’t served in-house at Burger & Lobster’s U.S. flagship location, customers can order their meals to go and drink elsewhere.
The popular UK-based chain only serves three items on the menu — you guessed it — signature beef blends and fresh crustaceans (plus specialty cocktails) for $30 or less, which means bar hopping in the Flatiron District is possible if you’re interested in satisfying those whisky woes.
I don’t know about you, but I will definitely eat and toast to that! All in moderation, of course!
