#QuarantineMeals week 9 is here! This week we take it back to a classic, the simplest of the simplest meals you can ever imagine... the legendary sandwich! Let me tell you something, don’t let a meal that has something in between slices of bread steer that creative passion away from you.
It’s more than ham and cheese between some bread, those ingredients are simply the starting point… let your imagination run wild with this!
Most of my life, I’ve been on the go, so sandwiches have always been a go to meal sprinkled throughout my weekly menu. I’ve eaten sandwiches sooo much that it’s become the norm lol. That’s why it’s always been important for me to switch them up.
There’s levels to these #QuarantineMeals; Whether I’m making a sheet pan meal, BBQing some chicken or enjoying something traditional, I’m trying my best to give you some variety. I’m not a professional chef nor do I claim to be one, so don’t feel as if you need to be a chef when creating some of these meals. Or if you are a chef (much respect) don’t pay attention to any of these meals I created because I will never be as good as you. Haha
I just love food. =)
That being said we hope everyone is staying safe and adapting to what seems to be the new normal. With lots of states opening back up, we’re glad that restaurants are opening up as well. Let’s remember to continue to practice social distancing and respect others' personal space.

It’s More Than A Sandwich!
Serving Size | 1 person
- 3 Deli Slices of Black Forest Ham
- 3 Deli Slices of Salami
- 3 Delic Slices of Pastrami
- 1 Hoagie Bread
- 2 Artichoke Hearts
- 1 Slice of Cheddar Cheese
- 5 Sliced Jalapeno Peppers
- Spinach leaves
- Fair amount of Mayo and Mustard
- Toast bread
- Once toast spread Mayo and Mustard on bread slices
- Add cheddar cheese to bottom layer (I like my cheese cold but you could also melt the cheese)
- Add black forest ham deli slices, followed by salami slices and pastrami deli slices.
- Add layer of spinach leaves.
- Top off with jalapeno slices and artichoke hearts (prior to adding artichoke hearts I recommend cutting them into thinner pieces).
