Texas Motor Speedway Unveils Bacon-Infused Beer Milkshake For NASCAR Weekend
Calling all swine lovers residing in the Lone Star state! Levy Restaurants’ Executive Chef Joel Pena has created a bacon-infused beer milkshake that will debut Oct. 31- Nov. 3 during the AAA Texas 500 NASCAR triple-header race weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.
Dubbed “The Shake ‘n Bacon” the brew utilizes local Texas products including a signature craft beer from Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. of Fort Worth and Blue Bell Ice Cream of Brenham, Texas. The frozen treat consists of six ounces of Rahr & Sons Ugly Pug Black Lager, six ounces of Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream, and two ounces of bacon-infused maple syrup. Mixed in a blender and poured into a 16-ounce plastic souvenir cup featuring the brew’s pig mascot, the shake is then topped off with three ounces of whipped cream and bacon crumbles.
The venue will also produce a non-alcoholic version for those fans under 21 with a penchant love for all things sweet and salty, known as the Shake ‘n Bacon Brew-less, which will substitute root beer for the Rahr & Sons beer. Available for $10 each during race week, you can get your bacon fix at the “Pig Rig” located on the main concourse between Gates 3 and 4.
Can make it to the race tracks? Don’t fret. You can make your own liquid desserts at home, courtesy of the instructional video below. Cheers!
