Forbidden Fruit
I was recently on the hunt for a dessert place that consisted of more than just ice cream. I wanted something more, something a little more rare. I was in for quite a treat when I stumbled upon West Village’s Forbidden Fruit This dessert treasure offers an extensive menu of fruits that can be dipped in many different types of chocolate.
There are fruit options ranging from pineapples to clementines and special chocolate flavors such as white, milk, and dark chocolate! Did I mention there are also toppings! Topping choices include coconuts, walnuts, and sprinkles.
I was a little bit overwhelmed by the amazing dessert options, but I finally landed on choosing the strawberry and apple wedge options. I had my strawberry dipped in white chocolate topped with coconut and my apple slice covered in dark chocolate. This was the perfect high note to my night! The fruit was super fresh, the chocolate was OMG (I can’t believe I just used that acronym), the desserts themselves looked beautiful, and it is completely affordable! Individual fruits range from $1.35 – $2.75 and toppings are $.50 cents each.
