We’re cooking up a #traditional #southern #newyears day meal of #spicy #blackeyedpeas, #cabbage and #salt #pork. According to popular folklore, these dishes, eaten on New Year’s Day, are designed to bring good luck throughout the year. The #peas symbolize coins. The #greens represent #wealth as they are flat and green like paper money. The #pork is eaten in the southern United States and many other countries in hopes of prosperity and a bountiful harvest during the upcoming year. #yougottaeatthis literally…it’s tradition. #yget 🐖🌱🍴😋
