Tilapia Bianca & Texas Haze
The beer-rita you see above is from Salt Grass and it’s called Texas Haze. It’s a frozen lime & strawberry margarita topped with one of my favorite beers, Abita Purple Haze. It’s mixed with Midori and raspberry liqueur and even though I’m not a margarita person, it was really good. I had a Dos Equis prior to seeing this drink on the menu so I definitely didn’t finish the ‘rita. I’m a light weight haha!
I ordered a Tialpia Bianca that starts ya off with a Caesar Salad. The cheese on the salad was rich and very tasteful. The Tilapia was pan seared topped with artichoke hearts & sautéed shrimp Gasp! in a sherry cream sauce. Not exactly sure what the sherry cream sauce was made from but it tasted it a bit like butter. I picked mashed potatoes as my side because you can never go wrong with mashed taters. This plate was very delectable, the addition of shrimp & artichoke hearts really gives it extra flavor. If you visit Salt Grass and you want to change it up a bit, give the tilapia a shot.
