Brunch on Washington
Now this…. This is what you call a brunch. I checked out this place since I’ve heard about it and all the things I’ve heard have been nothing but good. This is at a restaurant called Benjy’s on upper Washington Ave. in Houston, Tx. The restaurant has a very trendy and at the same time a laid back feel. It’s a traditional american cuisine type of restaurant in terms of what they serve, but I must say this place did not disappoint.
What I ordered was the crab cake with hollandaise sauce, farmers market egg benedict, spinach, potatoes, with a side of fruit. Everything tasted great and needless to say I cleaned the plate. To wash it down they have blood orange mimosas, which taste great especially on a hot day. A couple of carafes of the mimosas and Sunday definitely turns into Sunday Funday. This is definitely a go to brunch spot if you’re looking for a new place.
There’s this location and one in the Village. I may have to post more from this place because I definitely want to go back and try all of their other dishes.
