Petite Provence – A French Experience
I’ve never been huge on cooking breakfast. I would rather spend the money and go have an amazing breakfast made for me to start my day out right. A friend brought me to Petite Provence, a restaurant based on the love of food from France. Even though it was a 40-min wait to be seated, it was worth it. One look at the menu and I was done for. Everything looked so wonderful and it took me forever to choose.
We started out with mimosas. This one had orange juice in it, topped with a bit of apple and raspberry juice. Delicious.
Then they brought out these incredible, buttery and flaky croissants.
The meal itself I’m still recovering from. I haven’t had an omelette that good, ever. I ordered the Northwest Salmon Omelette which had smoked salmon, spinach, salmon mousse, diced red onion and served with lemon-dill sauce. It also came with butternut squash and provencal potatoes.
My friend’s meal looked spectacular as well. She ordered the Polenta Florentine Benedict, which was polenta rounds layered with sauteed mushrooms, spinach and topped with a poached egg and tomato hollandaise sauce.
There are a few locations, but I went to:
