The Macallan Distillery Taps Elliott Erwitt For ‘Masters of Photography Series’
On October 24, Hollywood elite and luminaries from the photography world joined The Macallan Distillery to celebrate the US Launch of The Macallan Masters of Photography: Elliott Erwitt Edition at Leica Gallery in Los Angeles — a collaboration, which showcases the art of whisky making through pictures. For the fourth edition of its award-winning series, The Macallan commissioned the famed photographer Elliot Erwitt to capture the spirit of Scotland, and essence of The Macallan, through a collection of 158 images –58 of which pair with one of 58 never before released, single cask whiskeys.
The Masters of Photography: Elliott Erwitt Edition is The Macallan’s most extensive, and ambitious project to date with 58 unique single cask whiskies being paired with a different signed 11” x 14” Elliott Erwitt print captured during his Scottish adventure. Only 35 of each of the exclusive pairings are available, making a complete global release of 2,030 packs. 320 of these are allocated for the US market. The Elliott Erwitt Edition comprises a bespoke photo-archival book featuring a total of 158 images, shot by Elliott during his trip, with a 375ml handmade glass flask containing a never before released single cask malt whisky concealed within its pages.
