O’Connor Brewing Punkelweisse

This is one instance that drinking local steered me wrong. I’m kinda pissed that I rode with O’Connor on this one, as they’re normally solid with their special brews. I was intrigued when I first saw this on the shelf at my local bottle shop because hefe’s have a very specific flavor profile that tastes like bananas or cloves and I couldn’t figure out how any brewery was going to be able to fit a mild flavor like pumpkin into it. Guess what? I’m still waiting for my answer. Don’t get me wrong, I love O’Connor Brewing and El Guapo is one of my favorite beers. It’s fvcking amazing. This Punkelweisse though? Don’t.
