Willie’s Sampler, Fish Tacos & Peach Cobbler
First visit to Willie’s Grill & Icehouse in Sugarland left me ridiculously full. The sampler (above) was ah-mazing! It’s a mix of hand breaded onion rings, fried pickles, fried mushrooms, mozzarella cheese sticks & fried jalapenos. It also comes with four dipping sauces- Ranch, honey mustard, cheese, & a spicy red sauce. This plate was shared between 3 people and we couldn’t finish it. It truly is ah-mazing.
Since I’m still on the fish taco kick- Willie’s has what they call Baja Fish Tacos (above). I ordered my catfish blackened instead of panko fried with Chipotle mayo and fresh slaw. Sides include chips, salsa & rice. The rice left a little to be desired, it was a bit dry. The tacos totally made up for that.
We ended the meal with dessert because it’s not a legit meal unless you’ve had a sweet plate, literally. This is Willie’s Peach Cobbler which was recommended to us by our server Season. She said it was fantastic and we wouldn’t regret it. It was so good we completely cleaned the skillet it came in. If you’re a fan of peach cobbler, you gotta eat this!
