All I Do is Grill

All I Do is Grill

My roommate acquired a fire pit earlier this month, so I took it upon myself to grill as much as possible. After getting some nice veggies (farm box envy), digging out the camping grill (for those beach trips), and getting some friends to play hooky from work I was en route fully utilize the scarce NW sun.

One problem: I’ve been cooking the same things for years.

While steaks and peppers (as pictured) will never get old for me, I wanted to switch it up this year. Luckily my friends are more than happy to oblige, and here’s a list of grilling ideas I’m itching to try before the rain comes back.

Duck (I’ve actually already had some, but I definitely need more…)

Almost any fruit (I was aware of grilled Pineapple, but I’m talking like strawberries, kiwi, mango kebobs)

Oysters, Clams, Mussels (Really any type of shellfish, or fish in general)

Grilled Kale Salad (won’t be a problem, I’m from Portland, kale is like a 1/3 of our diet)

That’s just a few of the grillables that are beckoning to me right now, share some of your suggestions in the comments below. Also here’s a link to and NYT article with a 101 Grill Recipes:
