Peanut Butter and Co.

Peanut Butter and Co.

I think we can all agree that peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are apart of growing up.. well.. maybe for some of us they are still apart of our lives at 22 years old.. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches have always been a doubled edge sword for me. I love them because they are easy to make, easy to pack, they don’t require a refrigerator, and they bring back nostalgic memories of my childhood. On the other hand, I don’t necessarily look forward to eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches because I eat them so frequently! I started to wonder if there were any ways to make this classic sandwich more exciting.

With this said, it was quite a delight when my mom informed me that there is a GOURMET peanut butter and jelly sandwich restaurant in West Village. My jaw literally dropped to the floor when I heard this news… Finally, I would be able to look forward to eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and relive my childhood memories at the same damn time *Future Voice*

Eagerly anticipating this journey, I walked through Washington Square Park and made my way to Sullivan Street where I finally arrived at the gourmet peanut butter and jelly sandwich shop: “Peanut Butter and Co.” They had everything from versatile peanut butter sandwiches to peanut butter and jelly classics, to delicious milkshakes! Peanut Butter and Co. also lets you select your own flavor of peanut butter! Make sure to check out their website to view their entire delicious menu!

I don’t know if I just love bananas or I just liked the name of the sandwich, but I selected the “The Elvis!” The Elvis is a grilled peanut butter sandwich stuffed with bananas and covered with honey inside. You can also add bacon to this masterpiece, but the vegetarianism got in the way.. I ended up choosing dark chocolate as my peanut butter flavor and it was awesome! And oh.. it doesn’t stop here.. I also had to try one of their infamous peanut butter milkshakes. Since I have fond childhood memories of Fluffernutter peanut butter sandwhiches, I decided to try the Fluffernutter shake! This shake features peanut butter and marshmallow fluff, but as I stated before, I love bananas, SO.. I asked them to add a banana!

I loved every bite, every sip, and every childhood memory that came with my meal. I think you will experience the same so You Gotta Eat This!
