Gettin’ High In VA – Elevation Burger

Gettin’ High In VA – Elevation Burger

I opted for the restaurant’s namesake Elevation Burger, a double beef patty, double cheese sandwich that is stacked with additional ingredients of your choosing. My personal piece of heaven included lettuce, tomato, grilled mushrooms, caramelized onions, aged cheddar (perfect sharpness BT-dubz), the oh-so-necessary bacon and “Elevation sauce”, a secret recipe that added a nice change in flavor to accompany the cheddar in separating each topping. No joke, you can taste the change in the grade of beef as opposed to a normal restaurant or even a Five Guys burger. These guys have created a great competitor to southern California’s Umami Burger with much more success!

The Elevation Burger combo with all the fixins weighs in under the normal 1600 calorie fast food standard.

Even though I took mine to go, the food held up to the short trip. The fries got a little soggy (most likely from the steam of the bag and hot, juicy burger), so i’ll have to reserve judgement on the texture. The taste however wasn’t lacking by any means. Without the normal salty, greasy lump sitting in my gut, I was ready to continue kicking my day’s ass without the food coma one expects after a burger and fries. That alone should be enough to sell both health conscious hipsters and hardcore foodies alike.

My final thoughts: EB is a dope spot without a true downside. I’m recommending you don’t take your food to go if you’ve got fries, unless you plan on smashing them heauxs in the car on the way (like a real OG should). If you really wanna pack it in :pause:, get a shake or malt. They’re just as fresh and fvcking delicious as the burgers.

Verdict on Elevation Burger: Find that shxt. Buy that shxt. Eat that shxt. NOW.
