NOLA Fried Chicken
Our friend ObsessiveSneakerDisorder’s Dee Wells was in the kitchen and whipped up some New Orleans-style fried chicken using his Grandmother’s recipe that’s been passed down.
After seasoning the chicken with a mixture of seasonings, which includes some GOYA Adobo, Above the Coals “Signature Classic” and Old Bay Seasoning.
Once the chicken has been seasoned, Dee suggests letting the seasoned chicken sit in the fridge for at least 2-hours so the chicken can soak up the seasoning.
Some of Dee’s other tips to great fried chicken include:
Fry chicken in either vegetable oil or Canola oil.
Prepare your egg wash by beating a few eggs.
Prepare your flour coating by mixing flour with some seasoning of choice.
Dip each piece of chicken in the egg wash and then lightly cover it with flour and place it in the hot oil.
Cook each piece of chicken until it’s done, but don’t overcook it and then enjoy it immediately.
