THE ROYAL PIG PUB AND KITCHEN
During the weekend YGET was invited down to the Royal Pig Pub and Kitchen located on Las Olas, downtown Ft. Lauderdale FL. Once we arrived we were greeted by the an incredibly friendly and professional staff. The host led us to Kristi who had been seated at one of the outside tables celebrating the owner’s birthday (Happy bday Chap!). Kristi spotted us and welcomed us to the Royal Pig Pub & Kitchen like only her bright personality could. We were shown around the beautiful establishment and seated outside under a large umbrella street side near the entrance. Kristi proceeded to suggest a few dishes of the menu. We sat and pondered and that’s when the action began.
We selected a few different dishes that Kristi suggested and a few that were ever so tempting.
1st up were APPETIZERS.
“The Chef’s BLT”
Flavorful tender Duroc pork belly / Crispy fried green tomatoes / Grilled endive / mustardo and crunchy pork cracklins
“Six Spicy Duck Handcrafted Nachos”
Crispy nacho chips topped with tender spicy duck, mini pineapple chunks served with Tabasco sauce.
NOW TIME FOR…..ENTREE’S.
“The Cactus Jack Burger”
Topped with Poblano Peppers, Smoky Gouda, Oaxaca Cheese, Fried Shallots, Guacamole served with organic sweet potato fries and a Tupelo honey cider drizzle.
“Hawaiian Free Range Turkey burger”
Free range turkey topped with Pineapple, Tasso, Mozzarella, Tupelo Honey BBQ and Avocado Mayo served with parmesan truffle fries.
“The Free Range Creole Chicken Club”
Grilled Chicken breast topped with Cheddar Cheese, lettuce, tomato, fried Avocado and Chipotle Aioli.
DESSERT’S ANYONE?!
A cookie never taste so good. “RPP Chocolate Chip Cookie”
Skillet Baked Valrhona Chocolate Chip Cookie topped with house made Marshmallow, Berry Jam, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
The Delectable “Bourbon Bread Pudding”
Topped with White Chocolate, Pecans, Salted Caramel Sauce, Bulleit Bourbon.
We definitely enjoyed our experience at The Royal Pig Pub and Kitchen. You should definitely pay them a visit! The dishes were delicious and as fantastic as the photos look. We want to thank The Royal Pig for their gracious hospitality and warm welcome. Word is out! The Royal Pig Pub and Kitchen is You Gotta Eat This APPROVED!
